I’m Emily, your Maternal Health OT (and mom bestie)

Motherhood is wild. Pregnancy, Postpartum, and all the in-betweens can leave you feeling unfamiliar in your own body. We may not all experience the same symptoms or dysfunction, but we all experience a desire to mother well.

After becoming a mom, I experienced firsthand how confusing pregnancy and postpartum recovery can feel—especially when your body doesn’t bounce back the way you expected. I knew my body needed a different kind of support, but I didn’t have the knowledge, time, or confidence to “bounce back” like I thought I was supposed to.

As an occupational therapist—and mother —I saw how closely a mom’s recovery and a child’s development are connected. That insight now shapes my work: supporting mothers as they rebuild strength and confidence, while also helping parents feel informed and empowered about their child’s development.
